Fairways and the greenbelt
Barton Creek and Lost Creek
The resort-and-fairway neighborhoods southwest of Westlake, on the hills above the Barton Creek Greenbelt.
Barton Creek is the country-club side of Westlake: the Omni Barton Creek resort, Fazio and Crenshaw golf, gated sections like The Fairways, and larger acreage tracts on the creek itself. Lost Creek, next door, is an established neighborhood of 1970s and 1980s homes with its own country club, big trees and direct access to the greenbelt trails. Both are in Eanes ISD (Lost Creek) or straddle Eanes and Austin ISD depending on the street.
