A transferring executive has a start date, two or three trips to town, a family who has not seen Austin and a corporate relocation package with its own rules. The work is different, and Tosca has done it since the 1990s. The CMRS designation is the relocation-specific certification of the Cendant Mobility program (now Cartus). The course covers exactly the problems a transfer creates: researching communities for a family that has never lived here, locating the destination home on a compressed schedule, coordinating with the relocation company and its appraisal and inspection requirements, and settling the family in after closing. In practice it looks like this. Before the first trip, a written brief on the areas that fit the commute, the schools and the budget: usually some mix of Westlake, Lake Austin, Tarrytown, downtown and the Lake Travis communities. The first visit is a neighborhood day, not a house day. The second is houses, pre-screened, with the relocation company's paperwork already in hand. Reviews on Google and Yelp from clients who moved from New York, Georgia, Michigan and Tennessee describe the team meeting them at the door and driving the neighborhoods first. If your company uses a relocation management firm, Tosca can work inside that program. If it does not, she can still run the move the same way.
